The Lewisville Independent School District prides itself on its long-standing tradition of educational excellence. With more than 38 schools receiving the “Exemplary” rating and 20 schools earning the “Recognized” rating by the Texas Education Agency, families move into LISD because of our commitment to student success. LISD also has six National Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence, which is the highest designation a school can earn by the United States Department of Education. Encompassing 127-square miles, LISD serves all of or portions of thirteen municipalities including Argyle, Carrollton, Coppell, Copper Canyon, Double Oak, Flower Mound, Frisco, Grapevine, Highland Village, Hebron, Lewisville, Plano and The Colony.

The North Texas Central College established in 1924 under the leadership of Texas community college pioneer Randolph Lee Clark, North Central Texas College is the oldest continuously operating public two-year college in the state. Texas Woman's University is a public university that occupies a notable position in higher education as the nation’s largest university primarily for women. The University of North Texas, is a public universtiy located in Denton.  Students can choose from over 97 bachelor's degrees, 82 master's degrees or 35 doctoral degree programs.  Faculty leadership in teaching, research, creative activities, performance and service activities has created national and international reputations for excellence for a number of academic programs within the university's 12 schools and colleges.
