Awards and Ratings		No Child Left Behind Texas Education Agency TBEC
All Coppell ISD campuses and the district met AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) on all indicators for the No Child Left Behind Act. Coppell ISD achieved an "Recognized" state accountability rating for 2010-2011 school year from the Texas Education Agency. (No ratings were given by the state for 2011-12) Coppell ISD is ranked highly in Texas in Gold Performance Acknowledgements (GPAs), receiving 10 in 2010. The district received GPAs in the following 10 areas (See comparison chart in the resource box): AP/IB Results Attendance Rate College-Ready Graduates Commended Reading/ELA Commended Math Commended Writing Commended Social Studies Recommended High School Program (RHSP)/DAP Texas Success Initiative: Higher Education Readiness Component: English Language Arts Texas Success Initiative: Higher Education Readiness Component: Math For the nineth year in a row, CISD has received a Superior Achievement rating based on answering "yes" to each of the 22 indicators included in the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) program. Coppell High School, Coppell Middle School North, Coppell Middle School West, Denton Creek Elem., Lakeside Elem., and Wilson Elem. made the Texas Business and Education Coalition's 2009 Honor Roll. Less than 4% of Texas public schools received this honor. Schools must have a high percentage of students meeting state standards in all subjects for three consecutive years, with an emphasis on commended scores.
