Best Suburbs List
D Magazine recently released its biennial Best Suburbs List, ranking Flower Mound at No. 8. The Town continually ranks in the top 10, and was ranked No. 8 in the 2010 rankings. Citing proximity to the airport, the signature mound of wildflowers, low crime rate, and excellent schools, the publication recognized Flower Mound for friendly residents who care about their community. To help keep
the community informed, the Town of Flower Mound has launched an informational
webpage regarding the proposed River Walk Municipal Management District (MMD).
At the request of Centurian American Acquisitions, the Town Council approved a
resolution supporting the creation of an MMD for the proposed River Walk
development during the April 15, 2013 meeting. Council’s resolution approval is
the first of many steps the Town will take into exploring this option and how an
MMD could benefit the community. To learn more about MMDs and how it relates to
the River Walk project, please visit www.flower-mound.com/riverwalkmmd.
