Hi, Jean Robb here. As a Realtor I have the honor of serving on  the Savannah advisory board. Savannah is a beautiful master planned community in Texas. One of the builders I have had the pleasure of working with is Grand Homes. Stephen Brooks is the CEO and truly has a heart of gold.

Stephen Brooks at the historic Majestic Theatre in Dallas on March 20th, Grand Homes was recognized for the second year in a row, as Builder of the Year by the Greater Dallas Home Builder’s Association.
Grand Home is currently breaking ground on the third home for Hope in Savannah. The master planned community of Savannah is a departure from ordinary living with amenities second to none, all in a family friendly small-town atmosphere. Just minutes from major highways is family living at it's finest. Please see below how you can help Hope!

We are doing it again! Grand Homes is excited to announce the groundbreaking of our third Home for Hope!

We invite members of the community to attend the celebration at 9 a.m. Thursday, August 25th at 821 Auburn Court, Savannah, TX. The charity home will be built by Grand Homes as part of the Savannah community in Denton County. Grand Homes’ trade partners will donate or discount their labor, materials, and services to help secure a large donation upon the sale of the home. The overhead and profit, priced in the $220,000s, will benefit HOPE International, a microfinance network dedicated to alleviating world poverty by providing financial services for impoverished families. The house can be purchased at any phase of construction – even pre-sold to allow the customer to make the house uniquely their own. The impact of HOPE International and Homes for HOPE can be seen online at www.youtube.com/hopeinternational.
HOPE’s primary service is the provision of microloans in 12 of the world’s most desperate countries. Starting at only $50, these loans enable entrepreneurs to start or expand their small businesses, creating a steady income that will lift their families out of poverty. Across the country, Homes for HOPE has reached out to over 100 builders, and Grand Homes has answered the call a third time to participate in the initiative that allows builders to have a worldwide impact simply by doing what they do best: building homes!

About HOPE

HOPE International Microfinance

HOPE International (HOPE) is a Christian faith-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on alleviating physical and spiritual poverty through microenterprise development.

Why Microfinance?

Around the world many creative, intelligent people are mired in poverty because they lack access to capital. Microfinance services can make the difference between economic entrapment and the realization of their dreams. HOPE believes that microfinance can be a powerful force in changing the world for the better and that loving people as Christ loved others means caring for both physical and spiritual needs.
HOPE ministers to the poor in 15 countries, working in the hard places and thriving there. HOPE's microfinance programs offer a sustainable alternative to the short-term forms of charity that have often left a wake of disempowerment in developing countries. Microfinance isn't a handout but a hand-up. It demands ownership and active participation from the beneficiaries of the intervention. Microloan recipients can take pride in knowing that their own hard work has made the difference between poverty and provision.

The Difference

HOPE practices a holistic approach to poverty alleviation. Microcredit and basic business training enable individuals to build businesses and break free from physical poverty. Clients find that their increased income enables them to provide more nutritious and regular meals as well as improved housing and education for their children. But HOPE isn't only concerned with physical poverty. Christ-following loan officers share the hope of the Gospel in the context of relationships, ministering to spiritual poverty as well.

A Worthy Investment

When one of HOPE's program becomes profitable, instead of returning profits to the United States, HOPE invests the money in further program growth and in community initiatives such as Christ-centered children's ministries or complimentary health care. HOPE's programs are highly successful, boasting a historical repayment rate of 96 percent, and highly leveraged. These high repayment rates coupled with HOPE's commitment to stewardship ensure that every donor dollar is maximized.
